Quiet has assembled a team of seasoned entrepreneurs, sales executives and operators with 235 years of experience in 3PL, warehouse management and material handling automation technologies.
Co-Founders – Bruce E. Welty, CEO & Chairman; Michael C. Johnson, President and COO
Messrs. Johnson and Welty are 20 plus year serial entrepreneurs, having partnered on three previous startups implementing warehouse technologies for Fortune 500 companies. Messrs. Johnson and Welty started AllPoints Systems in 1987 and sold it to EXE Technologies in 2001. Bruce Welty has been active on boards of NASDAQ companies and non-profits and received a BA in Mathematics from Colorado College. Mike Johnson has worked closely on the development and management of large complex software products including warehouse management systems, forecasting and replenishment system, wireless communication and software infrastructure.
Vice Chairman and EVP – Greg Cronin
Mr. Cronin is a well-known executive in Supply Chain technology and operations, having just come to Quiet from Seegrid Corporation where he helped introduce Seegrid’s disruptive Industrial Mobile Robotics (IMR) technology into manufacturing and distribution center operations. Greg has had a distinguished career serving as executive vice president for Descartes Systems Group (NASDAQ:DSGX), founder and CEO of TrenStar, Inc. (first RFID Asset Tracking company), founder, chairman and CEO of Viewlocity, Inc. (first supply chain visibility software company), EVP and board member at Manhattan Associates (NASDAQ:MANH), President and COO at RedPrairie (f/k/a McHugh-Freeman), Director of Consulting Services at IMI Systems (Warehouse Management Systems), V.P. of Operations at Todd Logistics (3PL and Trucking) and Assistant General Manager at Mitsui & Company (Traffic Department).
SVP Sales & Marketing – Al Dekin
Mr. Dekin has over 19 years of experience in sales, market and business development for technology companies. Previously Al was Director of Sales for TheBrain, a venture backed software startup where he helped to launch the first enterprise knowledge management solution offering TheBrain’s next generation user interface. Also, Al was President of MetaEvents, where he helped developed a proprietary web-based calendar publishing technology which was sold to Anyday.com (now Palm). Prior to MetaEvents, Al was Director of Marketing for Yantra Corporation (supply chain execution software company), Director of Marketing and Business Development for Network Software Associates and an Account Marketing Representative for IBM where he achieved three 100% Clubs and one Golden Circle award. Al Dekin has an A.B. from Dartmouth College and is the former captain of the U.S. National Rugby Team.
VP Finance – Darby French
Ms. French has 25 years of experience in Finance. Previously Darby was VP of Finance of P&H Solutions, in Newton, MA, where she played a key role in the successful sale of the company to ACI Worldwide, Inc. After the sale, Darby remained with ACI as VP of Finance of the newly formed subsidiary and then moved into a Director of Sales Operations position for the larger corporation. Prior to ACI, Darby worked for BankBoston as Controller of International Private Banking and began her career at Coopers & Lybrand. Darby French received her Bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and her Master in Accounting from Northeastern University.
VP Ops – Jacqueline Riggs-Brockway
Ms. Riggs, with 25 years experience in fulfillment operations, was Sr. Director of Operations at drugstore.com. Jackie was responsible for distributing $300m in Over-The-Counter (OTC), Cosmetics/Beauty, Custom Nutrition and Vision Direct products. Jackie operated in a multi-site environment totaling over 400k sq ft from 2000 to 2008 with 250 plus employees. Prior to drugstore.com, Jackie held various positions at Office Depot Inc., including Director of Operations for a multi site distribution and delivery operation, from 1983 until 2000.
